Tullie Art group has returned to Tullie!

We are using a new Tullie event space called the City Hall studio located on the first floor close to our new welcome space. 

There is level access to our new welcome space via Castle Street or Abbey Street. 

Our staff will meet you in the new welcome space and show you where to go.

Our space is accessible via two staircases or a lift, and all toilet facilities are located on the ground floor, including a wheel-chair accessible toilet facility with hand rails.

Wednesday 15th October – Squeegee Art

Be inspired by our latest exhibition and experiment with layering colours and working with mixed mediums to create a bright and unique piece (Tickets available on 17th September at 9:00am)

Wednesday 19th November – Life Drawing With Emily Ford

A fun spin on a traditional art form. You will be guided by Illustrator Emily Ford through a series of exercises, experimenting with mediums and styles. Our fab volunteer team have stepped forward as our models and will be donned in extravagant outfits! (Tickets available on 15th October at 9am)

 

Wednesday 17th December – Needlefelt Sculpture

Abi will guide you through making a festive realistic robin from wool using the needlefelt technique. She’ll cover basic sculpting techniques and you’ll have a cute companion to take home at the end of the session. (Tickets available on 19th November at 9am)

Meet me at the Museum is the name of our monthly meeting space for people living with Dementia, their partners, family or carers as well as older people looking for some fun, company and conversation. 

All session are located at Tullie Museum.

Wednesday 5th November - An Exploration of Colour: Inspired by our latest exhibition we will be exploring all things colour, from movement to art, you'll get a taste of the new exhibition. There'll also be an opportunity to take a look around the exhibition for those who would like to se it.

 

Wednesday 3rd December - Festive Fun: It's become a bit of a tradition to dedicate December's Meet Me at the Museum session to festive celebration. This year there'll be sing a long carols, mince pies and even a surprise visit from a special guest! Wear your best (or worst) Christmas jumper and join us for some festive fun.

 

Wednesday 7th January - Life on the Home Front: Using items from our handling collection we'll take a look back at what life was like in Britain during World War 2. Items from our collection hold their own personal histories so join us as we explore who these items may have belonged to.

FREE Tullie Textiles Tullie Textiles Tullie Textiles is back on site!

We are excited to be hosting Tullie Textiles on site again.

Left in the capable hands of professional textile artist, Helen Walsh, learn some new techniques each month. We’ll also be selecting an ‘Object of the Month’ from our textiles collection for you to get a closer look at, with a chance for discussion with other textile enthusiasts.

Tullie Textiles will be held in the City Hall Studio on the second Sunday of the month.

13:30pm – 15:30pm

Sessions are always popular, so booking is highly recommended.
